PTA - What Has The Money Raised Been Used For?

We are always grateful to everyone who supports a fundraising event, either by helping or attending (or both!) The money the PTA raises really does make a difference to the school.

How money was spent 2017-18

Country Dancing Uniforms

The PTA funded new uniforms for the annual Year 3 Country Dancing event.

Subsidising School Trips

Coaches for school trips are often subsidised by the PTA, enabling children to visit a wide variety of places such as the Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and @Bristol at a more reasonable cost to parents.

Outdoor Resources

The PTA has funded resources to help with the school’s Outdoor School programme such as a welly rack for YR, waterproof trousers for Y2, garden kneelers and has also given money towards developing the Woodland area in school.

Library Resources

The PTA part funded a large number of new fiction and information books for the school library, enhancing the children’s choice of up-to-date reading material.

Cycle Training

Each year the Year 5 children undertake cycle training to ensure their bikes are roadworthy and they are competent and safe cyclists. Last year, the PTA funded this training.

Christmas

The PTA regularly funds a visit from the Daylight Theatre Company who entertain the children with a Christmas performance. The PTA also provides a Christmas party lunch for juniors, along with presents from Father Christmas for all the children.
